Time Scales and Turbulent Spectra above the Base of Stirred Vessels from Large Eddy Simulations

Single-phase Large Eddy Simulations (LESs) have been conducted with M-Star CFD software to compute spectra and time scales of the turbulent flow field at positions above the base of a stirred tank as these time scales may be important to the application of solids suspension.

Kevin is a founder of M-Star CFD, and he oversees all software integration and deployment. Prior to M-Star, Kevin held positions at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and DRS Defense Solutions. He holds an MS from Penn State University and a BS from Drexel University.

Brian focuses on core algorithm development and optimization. Prior to M-Star, Brian was a Senior Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He holds an MS and BS from Carnegie Mellon University.
