M-Star CFD uses LES and DES fluid modeling approaches. The rigor of these turbulence models makes M-Star CFD ideal for modeling blending in large tanks and bioreactors, possessing regions with both turbulent and laminar flow fields. Beyond the velocity fields and impeller forces shown here, M-Star CFD is useful for predicting particle trajectories, shear rates, and energy-dissipation rates.
